Developing Prosperity Consciousness

Napoleon Hill wrote about the importance of developing prosperity consciousness in his classic book, Think and Grow Rich. Having a state of mind that consciously attracts a higher level of abundance is key to becoming a financial success in reality. Another way of putting it is that you must develop a millionaire mind.

If you talk about how much money you don't have and how you will probably never have enough, then change your language. Start talking about how money is abundant and you are grateful for what you have.

Your state of mind creates both poverty and riches.

You will not have abundance as long as you keep observing, talking, and focusing on what you don't want. Instead, imagine in detail, and with heartfelt emotion, what you want to experience. In this state of mind and emotion, you present a powerful message to the Universe. The free e-book, The Science of Getting Rich, talks extensively about focusing on the clear mental image of the life you desire.

One key to health, happiness, and personal wealth is realizing that everything that you are or ever will be is the result of how you use your mind. The quality of your thinking determines the quality of your life. Improving the quality of your thinking improves the quality of your life. Thus, the starting point for developing a prosperity consciousness is to think today in a positive, optimistic, confident way about personal and financial success.

Focusing on what you want is the basis of the law of attraction. This law says that you attract what you focus on most. And here's where many people make a mistake: If you focus on your bills (even if you are thinking about paying your bills), you will attract more bills. So, you need to put the bills out of your mind and focus on attracting more money flowing into your life. Then the bills take care of themselves.

This collection of material, all about attracting abundance and prosperity into your life, was a big step for me in changing my attitudes and developing more prosperity consciousness.
