Developing Self Awareness

Self awareness is the ability to perceive your own traits, feelings, and behaviors; in other words, to know yourself.


Awareness is the first step in the creation process. As you become more self aware, you better understand why you feel what you feel and why you behave as you behave. Otherwise, you continue to be “caught up” in your internal dramas and beliefs, letting unknown thought processes determine your feelings and actions.

As you come to recognize your personality, strengths, weaknesses, likes, and dislikes, you become more effective at communication and interpersonal relations, and you develop empathy for others.
